SAYWARD CHOSEN TO SERVE ON CONFERENCE REVIEW COMMITTEE
Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward (R,I – Willsboro) has been chosen by her peers to serve on the Assembly Republican Review Committee (ARRC). ARRC is a peer review committee that meets to address topics affecting the state and develops ideas for the Conference.
ARRC will be meeting over the next few weeks, vetting ideas and putting together the Conference’s 2010 Legislative Agenda, which will be released as soon as the process is completed.
Last year’s ARRC produced the Promise of NY, which contained a number of ideas for reforming New York including, providing tax relief, restoring confidence in state government, creating jobs and expanding small business, enhancing education, advancing agriculture and tourism, making housing affordable and attaining energy independence.
“The members of my Conference have many excellent ideas on how to turn our state around and I am proud to be selected as a member of ARRC, which will allow me to help shape our legislative agenda for 2010,” said Sayward. “I would like to thank my colleagues for this opportunity – I will use my position to help reform New York and to bring much-needed assistance to the North Country.”
