ASSEMBLYWOMAN SAYWARD CHOSEN TO LEAD SPORTSMEN CAUCUS
Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward (R,I – Willsboro) was recently honored with the task of presiding as co-chair of the Sportsmen’s Caucus. The selection is a result of Sayward’s ongoing commitment to supporting New York’s outdoor sporting and recreational traditions.
Members of the caucus work to preserve and enhance New York’s rich hunting, fishing and outdoor activities, increase land-use availability, and raise awareness of the significance of outdoor activities to the state’s economy.
The Sportsmen’s Caucus is a bi-partisan group consisting of members of the Assembly and Senate that was formed in 2004 with help from Sayward.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead the fight in New York to preserve our traditions,” Sayward said. “Outdoor recreational activities, including trail-riding, hunting and fishing are an important part of the culture of the North Country communities I represent. I will continue to work with local leaders, as well as other members of the Sportsmen’s Caucus, to ensure that our children get to enjoy the same rights and activities that our families have for hundreds of years.”
