SAYWARD WELCOMES CORPSMAN LESLIE FLEURY ON WOMEN'S VETERANS RECOGNITION DAY

Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward (R,I – Willsboro) recently welcomed Leslie A. Fleury, Hospital Corpsman First Class, Seabee Combat Warfare, to the Capitol in recognition of Women Veterans Recognition Day. This week, the Assembly passed a resolution honoring Women Veterans.
Leslie enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve in April of 2003 and was recently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Leslie, who was born in Elizabethtown and raised in Westport, has been awarded numerous medals for her efforts and is the mother of three girls.
“Corpsman Fleury is an outstanding example of dedication and sacrifice, and I am proud that she is a daughter of the North Country,” said Sayward. “I wish her the best of luck as she furthers her education and continues on in her endeavors.”
